Devon Junior Council

Devon Junior Council is a group of young Guiders, Young Leaders and Rangers aged between 16 and 26 who enjoy Guiding, want to meet up with like minded people and love having a lot of fun.Devon Junior Council

Here are some of the things that we get up to:

  • Meet once a term to discuss local, Regional and National Guiding issues; this takes place all over Devon, our members are happy to pick people up in order to make sure as many members as possible attend the meeting.
  • Act as runners/service crew at County events e.g. training days and AGM's; this involves helping the trainers with their equipment and rearranging the room afterwards.
  • Attend Senior Section weekends and events such as Zero and Innovate.
  • Organise our own residential weekends called Winter Weekend.
  • Wear our own special Devon Junior Council rugby shirts.
  • Have our own mascot called Riley; he is an elephant and forms part of our logo on our shirts.
  • Have lots of fun and make new friends.

We are a lively, enthusiastic group and we are always looking for new members. If you think you'd be interested in joining us then send us an email via the contact us tab, put DJC as the title.
