Exmouth is a lovely traditional seaside town situated in the East of the County. We have two miles of golden sands, and are a major windsurfing and Kite surfing venue. The town has a lovely selection of shops including two good craft shops. We also have the only round house belonging to the National Trust in A la Ronde, the home of cousins Jane & Mary Parminter. This is well worth a look for its distinctive interior decor, including a Feather Frieze and Shell Gallery (very fragile but can be fully viewed by CCTV).
East Budleigh can claim to be the birthplace of Sir Walter Raleigh and you can drive past the house where he was born.
Budleigh Salterton with its unique pebble beach and superb teashops is also well worth a visit.
